Bengali entertainer Srabanti Chatterjee, who had joined the BJP before the current year’s gathering decisions and ineffectively challenged against TMC heavyweight Partha Chatterjee, quit the saffron party on Thursday refering to its “absence of drive and earnestness to additional the reason for West Bengal”.
The 34-year-old entertainer had been avoiding the saffron party after it neglected to unseat Mamata Banerjee’s administration from power in the eastern state in spite of a shrill mission.
“Cutting off all binds with the BJP, the party for which I battled the last state races. Reason being their absence of drive and earnestness to additional the reason for Bengal,” Chatterjee tweeted.

The West Bengal BJP, notwithstanding, didn’t connect a lot of significance to Chatterjee’s choice and declared that “it would scarcely affect the party”.
“I truly don’t know whether she was with the party after the decisions. It will not host an effect on the gathering,” BJP state boss Sukanta Majumdar said.
Repeating him, BJP pioneer Tathagata Roy, who has been preparing his firearms on the party top of the food chain for the political race disaster, called Chatterjee’s stopping the party a “no love lost”. PTI
