‘We have to protect interests as Indian Ocean scenario is changing’, says NSA Ajit Doval

Evolving geo-political situation in the Indian Ocean locale has prompted global contentions, conflict of interests and rivalry. “It was significant as far as we were concerned to safeguard our inclinations,” said the National Security Adviser (NSA), Ajit Doval.

He was talking at the initiation of the primary gathering of the Multi Agency Maritime Security Group (MAMSG) on Thursday to examine significant strategy matters influencing oceanic security.

The MAMSG is composed from the workplace of the National Maritime Security Coordinator (NMSC) under the NSA.

“We really want to communicate in a similar language and have a typical functional picture that can be significant,” Doval added.

After Doval talked, various critical approach issues on oceanic security were taken up at the meetings.

These remembered planning of existing requests and strategies for sea security to recognize holes, survey of standard working methodology for oceanic possibilities, security of ports and waterfront foundation, making of a public sea information base, limit working of beach front States and UTs and advancement of blue economy.
