Veteran actress Seema Deo of ‘Anand’, ‘Kora Kagaz’ fame dies at 81

Seema Deo, an experienced actress, known for acting in movies like “Anand” and “Kora Kagaz”, passed away this morning due to illnesses related to her old age. Her son Abhinay Deo, who is also a filmmaker, announced the sad news. She was 81 years old.
Deo, who appeared in more than 80 movies in Hindi and Marathi languages, died at her home in Bandra. She had been experiencing Alzheimer’s disease for more than three years.
She died at her home in Bandra because of being very old. She had been completely isolated, and eventually it is just because she is old. Alzheimer’s is a condition where you stop being able to figure out how to do everyday tasks. She had memory loss problems before developing Alzheimer’s disease and she suffered from it for more than three years.
She died without any particular cause. Because of Alzheimer’s and dementia, the person can’t remember how to walk. The body starts to forget how to use its muscles, and slowly, the organs start to stop working.
The final rituals will take place at 5 pm at Shivaji Park.
Her husband, Ramesh Deo, who was also an experienced actor in Hindi and Marathi movies, passed away in 2022 at 93 years old.
She has two sons who are actors named Ajinkya Deo and Abhinay Deo. Ajinkya Deo has been in movies like “Sansaar”, “Indrajeet” and “Aan: Men at Work”. Abhinay Deo is a director known for “Delhi Belly” and “Force”.
