New Zealand, Australia Withdraw from Rugby League World Cup.

Australia and New Zealand have removed from the Rugby League World Cup planned to begin in October in England, refering to player government assistance and security concerns.

In a joint articulation on Thursday, the Australian Rugby League Commission and NZRL proposed that the competition be delayed until 2022 to keep away from the danger of a player getting COVID-19.

Last week competition authorities said the occasion would proceed with or without reigning champs Australia.

“Not taking part in the current year’s World Cup isn’t a choice the commission has messed with, however we should put the wellbeing of our players and authorities first. Securing them is our supreme priority,″ said ARLC administrator Peter V’landys.

“In the current climate, the dangers to the wellbeing, wellbeing and prosperity of the players and authorities venturing out from Australia to take an interest in the competition this year are impossible.”

The Rugby League World Cup is planned to start on Oct. 23 and the last is planned for Nov. 27.
