A legal advisor has recorded a protest against lyricist Javed Akhtar in a Mumbai court for his supposed abusive remarks in a TV interview against Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). In the objection, Dhrutiman Joshi, who is related with the RSS, said, “Akthar chatting on a TV show said that the individuals who support associations like RSS, VHP and Bajrang Dal need to do some contemplation.” He cited Akhtar calling the Taliban inexcusable and brutes and even as he added individuals “whom you are supporting, how are they not quite the same as them?”

Joshi said Akhtar contrasted RSS and the Taliban and said they have similar musings opposite minorities. He called Akhtar’s remarks very much arranged and determined to stigmatize RSS and debilitate, slander, and misinform individuals who have joined the association or might want to go along with it. Joshi said Akhtar looked to disparage RSS.

He blamed Akhtar for pointlessly stigmatizing RSS as a feature of a determined and very much arranged move and looked for an examination against him. The court will hear the matter on October 30.
