Manipur terrorist attack : Perpetrators will be brought to justice, says Rajnath Singh

Defence minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday censured the fear based oppressor assault on a caravan of the Assam Rifles in Manipur’s Churachandpur locale and said that culprits will be dealt with soon.

“The weak assault on an Assam Rifles escort in Churachandpur, Manipur is incredibly agonizing and condemnable. The country has lost 5 courageous fighters including CO 46 AR and two relatives. My sympathies to the dispossessed families. The culprits will be dealt with soon,” Rajnath Singh tweeted

Colonel Viplav Tripathi, the chief of the 46 Assam Rifles, was going in the guard alongside his significant other and child and warriors of the Quick Reaction Team (QRT).

The assault occurred at around 10am when the guard was in transit towards a far off town in the Churachandpur area.

Police authorities told the Associated Press on Saturday that the psychological militants started shooting with programmed weapons, eliminating every one of the seven individuals on the spot.
