The air quality in Delhi stayed within the ‘serious’ classification on Saturday morning, with the AQI being recorded at 473. The air quality file of adjoining spaces of Noida and Gurugram was recorded at 587 and 557 separately.
The general air quality file of Delhi was recorded at 473 at 10 am. In Delhi, the air quality file of Lodhi Road, Delhi University, IIT Delhi, Pusa Road l, and Delhi airport terminal was recorded at 489, 466, 474 and 480 and 504 separately, as per SAFAR.
An AQI somewhere within the range of nothing and 50 is taken into account ‘acceptable’, 51 and 100 ‘agreeable’, 101 and 200 ‘moderate’, 201 and 300 ‘poor’, 301 and 400 ‘extremely poor’, and 401 and 500 ‘serious’.
Experts on Friday had encouraged individuals to restrict open air exercises and advised government and private workplaces to cut vehicle use by somewhere around 30% as air quality in Delhi-NCR crept towards the crisis level in the midst of an ascent in discharges from ranch fires and ominous meteorological conditions.

More than 4,000 homestead fires, representing 35% of Delhi’s contamination on Friday, assumed a significant part in pushing the 24-hour normal Air Quality Index (AQI) to 471 by 4 pm. It was 411 on Thursday.
A sub-panel on Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) said meteorological conditions would be exceptionally negative for scattering of contaminations till November 18 and organizations concerned should be completely prepared to carry out measures under ‘crisis’ class.
Delhi recorded a base temperature of 11.1 degrees Celsius, three indents beneath the season’s normal, on Saturday.
