Australia, UK boycott Beijing Winter Games 2022

Australia and Britain will join the United States in a conciliatory blacklist of the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing, their heads of the state said on Wednesday, as different partners weighed comparative moves to dissent at China’s common liberties record.

The United States has said its administration authorities would blacklist February’s Beijing Olympics due to China’s common freedoms “barbarities”, only weeks after talks pointed toward facilitating tense relations between the world’s two biggest economies. China said the US would “follow through on a cost” or its choice and cautioned of countermeasures accordingly, yet gave no subtleties.
