Latest round of talks with India on border issue ‘positive and constructive’ : China

China on Thursday depicted as “positive and productive” the most recent round of military-level discussions with India and said Beijing will work intimately with New Delhi to “appropriately handle” the line issue even as it discredited the US charge of “threatening” neighbors.

India and China held the fourteenth round of Corps Commander-level gathering on January 12 during which the different sides consented to keep up with exchange through military and conciliatory channels to work out a “commonly satisfactory goal” of the leftover issues of the stalemate at eastern Ladakh.

“The Chinese side trusted this round of talks were positive and valuable, and China will work intimately with the Indian side to appropriately deal with the line issue through arrangement and interview,” said Senior Colonel Wu Qian, a representative for China’s Ministry of National Defense said in light of an inquiry.

In front of the discussions, Indian authorities communicated any expectation of settling issues connected with withdrawal at Patrolling Point 15 (Hot Springs) in eastern Ladakh in the fourteenth round of talks.

The eastern Ladakh line stalemate between the Indian and Chinese militaries ejected on May 5, 2020, following a rough conflict in the Pangong lake regions.

Because of a progression of military and discretionary discussions, the different sides finished the withdrawal cycle last year in the north and south banks of the Pangong lake and in the Gogra region.

Sr. Col. Wu in his press preparation on Thursday pointedly condemned White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki’s remarks blaming China for endeavoring to threaten its neighbors in front of the India-China military discussions.

Reacting to an inquiry on China’s forceful conduct on the line with India, Psaki said on January 12 that the United States keeps on checking the circumstance.
