Army issues notification for recruitment under ‘Agnipath’ scheme; registration to start from July

In the midst of fights in a few pieces of the country, the Army on Monday gave a notice for the enlistment of warriors under the Agnipath military enrollment plot under which the web-based enlistment of candidates will start one month from now.

In its warning, the Army said the web-based enrollment for the power’s enlistment should be possible on “www.joinindianarmy.nic.in” and “www.joinindianarmy.nic.in and was compulsory for all the work competitors under the new model.

The Army said ‘Agniveers’ would shape an unmistakable position in the Indian Army, which would be unique in relation to some other existing positions.

It said the ‘Agniveers’ will be banned from uncovering arranged data acquired during the four-year administration period to any unapproved individual or source under the Official Secrets Act, 1923.

“Faculty selected through Agniveer plot, will be expected to go through periodical clinical check-ups and physical/composed/field tests as administered by orders gave. The presentation so exhibited would be considered for resulting offer for enrolment in the normal framework,” the Army said.

It said that in light of hierarchical necessities and approaches proclaimed, ‘Agniveers’ in the wake of finishing their commitment period in each group will be offered an amazing chance to apply for enrolment in the normal unit.

“These applications will be viewed as in a unified way by the Army in light of an objective standards including execution during their commitment period and not more than 25% of every particular bunch of ‘Agniveers’ will be signed up for the ordinary framework,” the Army said in the notice.

The notice said, for general obligation, Class 10 pass with 45% imprints in total and 33 percent in each subject are compulsory for the candidates.

For the specialized framework of ‘Agniveers’, including for the Aviation wing, the wannabes should clear Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English, with 50% imprints in total and 40 percent in each subject.

For those going after jobs of agent or vendor (specialized), Class 12 in any stream is expected with 60% imprints in total and 50 percent in each subject.

For this framework, 50% imprints in English and Maths/Accounts/Book-Keeping are obligatory.

The Army has held two classes for ‘Agniveer’ under merchants heading — one for those having cleared tenth class and one more for eighth pass ones.

In the two classifications, there is no expectation for total checks except for the up-and-comers need to have 33% imprints in each subject, the warning said.

As per the notice, extra characteristics of 20 would be given in the Common Entrance Examination to certain classifications of the candidates like children of a serviceman (SOS), child of ex-serviceman (SOEX), child of war widow (SOWW), child of a widow of ex-serviceman (SOW).

Likewise, NCC ‘A’ and ‘B’ declaration holders would likewise get a few imprints.

The Army said the arrival of an ‘Agniveer’ at his own solicitation preceding consummation of terms of commitment isn’t allowed.

The Agnipath conspire, reported on June 14, accommodates the enlistment of young people between the age section of 17-and-half years to 21 for just four years with an arrangement to hold 25% of them for 15 additional years.

The public authority has stretched out the upper age breaking point to 23 years for enrollment in 2022.

The Army said the volunteers will be exposed to the arrangements of the Army Act, 1950.

The Army said the ‘Agniveers’ wouldn’t reserve any option to be chosen after consummation of their four-year residency.

As a feature of the enrolment interaction, each ‘Agniveer’ will be expected to officially acknowledge all agreements of the ‘Agnipath’ plot.

For staff underneath the age of 18 years, the enrolment structure will be expected to be endorsed by the guardians or watchmen, as per the record.

The ‘Agniveers’ will be qualified for 30 days’ leave in a year as against 90 days for those in standard help. Clinical leave will be conceded in view of clinical counsel. PTI
