Jio Studios and SVF Entertainment recently revealed the first glimpse of the Bengali movie Kabuliwala, which is inspired by a story written by the famous Rabindranath Tagore.
Mithun Chakraborty has been chosen to act as Rahmat in Tagore’s famous work. This show is made by SVF Entertainment and created by Jyoti Deshpande, Shrikant Mohta, and Mahendra Soni. Kabuliwala is a story about an older man from Afghanistan who loves a little girl named Mini very much. The story takes place in the busy city of Kolkata in 1965. The movie shows a time when people have strong and loving relationships that go beyond borders and cultures.
Chakraborty is talking about his character Rahmat in Kabuliwala. He says that he expects it to be a very emotional experience. The character’s strong love and close connection with Mini make people feel deeply nostalgic and relate to them no matter who they are.
The director, Suman Ghosh, says that our film is inspired by Tagore’s famous story, Kabuliwala. We are honoring the 1957 Bengali version of the story, which people loved because of the amazing performance by Chhabi Biswas. In simpler words, our movie will beautifully show the importance of love and longing as Rahmat finds comfort in the innocence of a young girl. This reminds him of his own child, whom he had to leave behind in his home country.
Kabuliwala will start on August 1 and come out on Christmas this year.
