Mukta Arts, a company owned by Subhash Ghai, has released a preview for Jaanaki, a TV show about change and growth. The show reflects the experiences of many women in India, showing their hardships, achievements, and fights.
Ghai says that Doordarshan has given filmmakers the opportunity to show their stories on TV series and have complete control over the creative process. That’s why I made my show for Doordarshan. Jaanaki is a story about a daughter who grows up and faces challenges in a world where daughters are treated as someone else’s property.
The TV show Jaanaki will be shown on August 15th at 8:30 pm.
