Mumbai, August 8: Ardhendu Bose, the nephew of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, passed away in Mumbai due to a heart attack. His wife, Kermeen Bose, informed the media about his death. Kermeen remembered Ardhendu as a proud man who always admired his legendary uncle and his heroic acts. Ardhendu worked as a model and actor in the 1970s in Bollywood and Bengali films. He had faced difficulties in his life, as he believed that the government was spying on his family during the 1960s to 1980s. Ardhendu was a strong nationalist and fought for recognition of Netaji and the Indian National Army. He criticized the Congress government and believed that India’s independence was achieved because of the bravery of the Azad Hind Fauj. Ardhendu is survived by his wife and son. He was also critical of Anita Bose Pfaff, Netaji’s daughter, for her views on violence.
