Aastha Sharma, a character from the TV show Neerja. Ek Nayi Pehchaan, got inspiration from the famous character Somu, played by actor Kamal Haasan in the movie Sadma.
I am grateful to have had the opportunity to honor Kamal Haasan by recreating a very emotional scene from his movie Sadma. Who hasn’t shed many tears when Kamal Haasan tries to bring back memories of Sridevi in the movie. In our TV show, the storyline has reached a fascinating point where all the love Abeer used to have for Neerja appears to be gone. After reaching this point and leaving her old life in Sonagachi, she is scared that she will be forced to return to that famous place known for its bad reputation. With all these new things happening in the story, I am really excited for the audience to see what happens next.
