Anil Deshmukh sent to ED custody till November 6 in Money laundering case

A meetings court in Mumbai sent previous Maharashtra home priest Anil Deshmukh to the Enforcement Directorate’s guardianship till November 6 regarding a tax evasion case. Deshmukh was reserved under different segments of Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

NCP pioneer Nawab Malik said on Tuesday that the activity against Deshmukh is politically roused and intended to malign the three-party administering Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) partnership in Maharashtra.

“In the wake of investigating every one of the legitimate means, he showed up before ED. He is being outlined. The person who made the charges against him (Anil Deshmukh) is fleeing,” said Malik.

“Where is Param Bir Singh? He left for Chandigarh and always avoided the city from that point forward. There are just three different ways to get away, of them one is via air and another is by street. An individual can go to Nepal by street either through Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh or Bihar and BJP is in power in this load of three states. Was Param Bir Singh assisted with getting away; MVA was slandered through him? BJP needs to respond to this load of inquiries,” he added.

Deshmukh, 71, showed up before the ED on Monday in the wake of avoiding different request. In a video message delivered yesterday, he said that every one of the claims against him are bogus. “Today, I have introduced myself before the Enforcement Directorate. Previous Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh made bogus claims against me. Where is he today? According to media reports, he has left the nation,” said Deshmukh.

The NCP pioneer showed up before the exploring organization after the Bombay high court on Friday dismissed his appeal testing the ED summons.
